A message from Robin Lane

Remember all those songs we used to sing in the 60's. Some of us are writing them in 2010. Maybe not exactly like the old days but songs you can sing along with. Can you believe we are still waging war...that our young people continue to go off to fight wars, that the 60's protests against war and the side effects of war, of inequality, concern for human rights, economic and social justice all of this seems to have been bamboozeled by some hard right extremists who's one goal is greed. I can't think of how the war machine is about much else.

After facilitating so many songwriting workshops with people recovering from trauma, I decided a good place to lend a hand would be Traprock Center for Peace and Justice. The workshop is at an end and now we have 7 fantastic songs about biomass, about the pioneer valley birthing our new nation, about gaps in justice, about the need for our friends, about how we are strong if we stand together, about our threatened planet, about how we in the world are one. You can support the good work that Traprock does by buying this CD for only $10. You will not only be helping Traprock endeavors to bring about a just world but you will be listening to 7 inspirational songs. I've had a long career in the music business, sang with Neil Young, The Police, The Bangles. My own band Robin Lane and the Chartbusters had the 11th video on MTV and toured North America and Europe. I am thrilled to have produced this CD.
