Director's Report

June 8, 2010   from Sher Sweet

I am excited to take on the position of Interim Director for Traprock, as the Board and I continue to make Traprock a vibrant part of the peace and justice communities in Franklin and Hampshire Counties. I look forward to continuing the important work Liz began in her role as the Director of Traprock ; the Board and I wish her well as she explores some projects dear to her heart. This is a new phase of my own life after leaving an enjoyable teaching career of many years at Northfield Mt. Hermon School. This position at Traprock supports my passionate commitment to Tikkun Olam, healing and repairing the world.

The two most important projects I will be focusing on this summer with the help of the board is fund-raising and programming for the next 12 months. I would welcome your help in any way with these projects. If you have programs you would like to create or suggest, please drop me a line or give me a call at 773-7427.

Please come by the office and say hello. I will be working Monday – Wednesday from 1 – 5 pm. The office will also be open on Thursdays from 1 – 5 pm with a board member staffing it. Look for the peace flag.

Don’t forget to join us on June 12th, 7 pm for a CD release party and celebration of Liz’s work.

Shalom,

Sher Sweet
